Please note that the EU has implemented an emergency act to control export of certain PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) items to 3rd countries. Exporters will need authorisation to export products specified in the annexes included in the below document.
Personal Protective Equipment covers equipment such as masks, protective spectacles and visors, face shields, mouth-nose protection and protective garments. There are vital needs for protective equipment to be used within the Union with regard to hospitals, patients, field workers, civil protection authorities.
Please refer to Annex 1 in the attached document where the restricted goods are listed with their relevant HS codes to determine whether your exports are affected.
Authorisation will be required for exports to 3rd countries. This will be valid for a six-week period, during which Member States will be consulted on the potential adaptations and scope of the current measure and future steps.
Please contact SPIRE if you think the export of your goods are affected by this emergancy act.
