The Alliance Group has over 40,000 square metres of warehousing space at its disposal and has the capability to handle heavy-lift and out of gauge cargo on short or long term contracts. The modern, centrally located terminals, situated adjacent to all major U.K. industrial locations and trunk roads/motorways throughout the U.K. offer the following services to Alliance clients:- Full customs bonding facilities Internal or external storage facilities Temperature controlled environment Fully insured premises operated under R.H.A. and National Wharfinger terms Full export container loading and import container stripping facilities all at highly competitive rates Nationwide collection and re-delivery service

Packing Services

Operated in close conjunction with the warehousing activities of the Group is the Alliance packing division. This arm of the company's activities was formed in 1976 and has enjoyed an unrivalled reputation for quality and reliability particularly in those areas calling for special packing and waterproofing requirements, and repacking for redistribution purposes.

Cargo received for packing ranges from priceless antique china for shipment to the U.S.A. packed using polystyrene technology to ensure security in transit, to liaison with the Alliance projects division when substantial out-of-gauge turnkey contracts are won often lasting over a period of months and sometimes years.

Many companies originally employing their own packing staff in-house have switched this often costly activity to Alliance and have subsequently saved many thousands of pounds annually in reduced overheads and faster turnaround on finished packing for urgent export – a very valid point especially in the context of letters of credit expiry.
