The last decade has seen a multiplicity of shipping and forwarding agents go
into receivership and are often subsequently liquidated – many unnecessarily
so.
Alliance has developed a rescue package for those collapsed agencies and by working
in tandem with the receiver-designate or liquidator, has enabled Alliance to
recover considerable sums of money for the account of unsecured creditors.
Often staff employed by the receiver/liquidator fail to grasp the need for urgent
action once an agency has foundered, continuing to systematically produce the
statement of affairs in order to assess the value of the remaining assets, whilst
the largest potential asset, the on-going goodwill of the demised corporation is
being totally decimated by the untimely departure of key staff,
leaving the receiver/liquidator incapable of serving the on-going clients during
that difficult period.

receivers and licensed insolvency practitioners the following:-
- Immediate on-site consultative secondment of experienced staff to assess
the viability of the remaining business followed by a report to confirm their
findings
- Operational staff to run and develop the potential secured following that
exercise
- Finance to secure and retain that on-going work in progress (preserving
customer confidence which, if handled correctly, translates into a major
company asset)
- This service relieves the receiver/liquidator of the tremendous burdens
placed upon them as a result of cargo liens, rent charges, demurrage bills,
"stale" export documentation and a plethora of other logistical problems often
encountered following the failure of a freight company and often very alien to
the receiver/liquidator-designate
Above all else experience has shown that many thousands of pounds can be
retrieved and saved which assists the receiver/liquidator in the execution of their
duties and should ensure that aggrieved creditors see a return on their often
wayward funds.
